October, Part 2.
As autumn grows closer,
I feel happy and warm,
And a sadness that chills to the bone.
The sun still warms my face,
But it feels colder, withdrawn,
I feel the familiar ache,
At first strange and stifling,
But then like an old blanket surrounding me, holding me.
And somehow, I feel like I'm becoming myself again,
Like I'm coming home.
My darkness feels like home.
My sadness feels like home.
